Miss BB Guns (Pick up Artist)

Some know her as Miss BB-Guns but lately she has been showing off some very fluffy ears. This lady, and I use the term loosely, likes to rub fuzzy parts with the Renegades, Rebels, & Rogues. She says the only way she’ll ride your little pony is with a spur under the saddle. No need to add fuel to this fire. After meeting this one, when you hear the word “wild” you won’t be thinkin’ of the west but perhaps bunny's best. She grew up in the twin territories of Oklahoma and she is here tonight to show you some twins of her own….. Miss BB Guns.

Miss Marie (Spoken Word)

Miss Marie has been performing spoken word for many years. She firmly believes in spontaneous acts of reckless beauty and art. Marie has participated in various poetry readings from a small town in the Rockies to the various big cities of western Canada. From the lush jungles of central America to a dusty-desert stage in the cacophonous Nevada salt flats. These days she can be found performing her poetry at Tongues of Fire and monthly Slams here in Victoria.

Lynette Harper (Poetry)

Lynette Harper is a dancer and a scholar, a teacher and a learner. She lives on Vancouver Island between the mountains and the sea, in the city of Nanaimo. She is going to read us a short poem in the spirit of the Romany people.

Dave Dirk

Dave Dirk has been DJing around Vancouver and the island for about 5 years now. Formerly a regular sound provider for The Eatery in Vancouver and one of the DeBasement DJs for Vancouver's Sin City fetish parties, Dave is happy to now have Victoria as his home. Some fun Facts about Dave Dirk:
• Dave and all his friends were called the Geek Squad in high school by the in crowd. Then he became the guy that Geek squad called to fix their computers.
• Dave is the only DJ in this city who can get away with wearing lingerie and a fedora at the same time.
• Dave says he “likes to overthrow small governments in his spare time.” Translated, that means he “likes to point out how horrible your grammar is on a dozen local internet messageboards in his spare time.”

Desunos

Desunos has been spinning and co-creating dance floors since the summer of 2006. With 18 years of live stage performance as a lead singer/songwriter/guitarist, Laughlin Meagher is committed to creating dance floor madness. As a multi-genre dj, Desunos crosses the boundaries between world ethno-fusion, dub step, progressive house, glitch, downtempo and breaks to give you a kaleidoscopic sound experience to keep your feet dancing and your heart pumping. Desunos has shared the stage with international acts such as David Starfire, Gaudi, Adham Shaikh, Max Pashm, Liquid Stranger, Delhi to Dublin, Shane Philip, Brad Moontribe, Drumspyder & Jef Stott. Live on the mic Desunos fuses layers of vocals, melodica, guitar and percussion to compliment his selections and interact with the audience. Creating rich harmonies and soundscapes, Desunos will be showcasing his original compositions, and live fusion elements on a soundsystem near you.

A 13 year veteran of the Canadian west-coast intentional dance scene, Khan's
lush progressive sets are filled with tribal rhythms, beautiful melodies and
mystical landscapes. He is a master of the live mix, seamlessly blending
loops and layers, weaving epic soundscapes on the fly from the raw elements
of his carefully selected tracks, while building the energy of the dance
floor to its peak. His mission is to facilitate deep, transcendent journeys
that bring dancers to a state of higher consciousness, awakening and
deepening into the mystery of the dance, and to spread his conscious groove
to as many souls as he can reach along the way. From peak sets to early
morning transformations to glorious daytime throw-downs, Khan can bring life

The Funky Hermit

The Funky Hermit definitely lives up to his Hermit reputation. His appearances are sporadic at best. He vanishes for months or even years at a time. Occasionally appearing out of nowhere to spread the good word of funk. He's been known to shake butts from Calgary, to Seattle and Black Rock City.
